Getting to know Raúl Giménez better…
When did you get started in bodybuilding?
I started out in 2006. I was a fairly thin boy. At that time I joined the Armed Forces, specifically, the Special Operations Command of the Army. In this post, sport and good physical condition are essential for the development of the activity. That was when I discovered what is now my hobby par excellence.
What does bodybuilding bring to you?
What has given me the most is the people around me: friends, athletes, colleagues on stage... On a personal level, discipline, perseverance and the satisfaction of knowing that I am capable of doing whatever I set my mind to.
Your 3 Amix must-haves are…
Without a doubt, and in order of preference, they are: Probio HD from Amix Pro , Multi Megastack and Super Omega 3 .
Raúl Giménez: “Even though I didn’t win gold, I felt like a winner”
Which competition do you remember most fondly?
The competition I remember most fondly, without a doubt, is this year's European Championship. Despite the situation we were living through because of Covid, all my family and friends came to support me. For a moment we forgot about this situation and although I didn't get the gold, seeing them all there supporting me made me feel like a winner.
Do you have any habits before going on stage?
I have many reasons to remember... But if I had to highlight one, it would be this: days before the competition, I go to see my grandparents to tell them that I'm going to go up on stage again and that they'll be with me that day. So far, they've never left me.
What are your plans for 2021?
It's still early days for plans, but my goal is clear... I want to become a professional! I'll act according to the country.
We have no doubt that our athlete Raúl Giménez will soon achieve his goal and will continue to achieve his objectives with all the success he deserves . Go for it!
